Team GB Diver Joins the F-Team

Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix may not be our first Funkita F-Teamer from the UK, but she is our first British diver. Daughter of renowned French maître d’hôtel Fred Sirieix, the 17-year-old rising star has the world at her feet and her eyes set on Paris 2024.

Fresh off the back of the 2022 British National Diving Cup, the Crystal Palace/ Dive London teen sensation competes under the watchful eye of Lin Chen, World Champion from Madrid in 1986. “It’s the first competition of the year so to be able to compete and get back into routine felt really good.”

Getting back into routine means getting back to winning-form for Andrea. In 2020 she won the 10m platform at the British Diving Champs and the Rostock FINA Grand Prix, and in 2021 she claimed silver in the 10m Mixed Synchro at the European Aquatics Champs.

With Paris being one of her favourite places in the world to compete, if the next Olympic cycle goes to plan for Andrea, she will have plenty to smile about.
