New Funkita athlete Elly Gandy breaks Commonwealth record at Short Course champs

Funkita is proud to announce our sponsorship of Elly Gandy. Formerly a member of Team GB, Elly competed as an Australian athlete for the first time this weekend at Nationals winning two golds and breaking the Commonwealth record for the 200m butterfly! Having competed in the London Olympics for Great Britian, Elly made the decision to move to Australia to pursue a spot on the Australian team for Rio 2016. Now based in Melbourne and training with the Nunawading squad, we?re really excited to welcome Elly onboard.

Funkita stars Bindy Hocking and Taylor Corry were also competing in Sydney and spending a lot of time on the podium with 10 medals between them! 5 gold and 3 silver for Taylor and 2 gold for Bindy so fantastic results for both.
